StarCite Inc., a Philadelphia-based provider of Web-based solutions for corporate meeting and event planners, has announced Gregory J. Dukat as its new chief excutive officer, effective July 15, 2008.
A technology industry veteran, Dukat joins StarCite from Atlanta-based Ventyx Inc., a provider of service delivery management solutions for energy, utility and other asset-intensive companies where he was president and CEO. Previously Indus International, the company was sold in 2007 for $250 million under Dukat's leadership.
"Greg is a proven leader who has demonstrated the vision, skills and passion to build businesses and accelerate growth," StarCite Board Member Doug Alexander, managing director at Internet Capital Growth, said in a statement. "The Board believes Greg's unique blend of operational, sales and marketing leadership skills will further drive the value inherent in this leading on-demand business."
Dukat's resume includes positions at 180Commerce Inc., where he was CEO, and J.D. Edwards World Solutions Company—later acquired by PeopleSoft—where he was vice president and general manager for the company's southern region.
